Bates Accelerated Learning Academy’s Administrative Staff is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative tasks necessary to ensure that the facilities operate and function according to the vision and mission of the school. It is important to the cooperative spirit of this school that the Executive Director, faculty/staff, and parents operate as a team with the common goal that keeps the education of our students at the center of all deliberations.

- Her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida alongside an ESOL Endorsement
- Her Master of Arts in Curriculum with instruction from the University of Phoenix
- Her Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
Mrs. Bates has worked in Title I, Renaissance, Achievement, and Turnaround schools as a Highly Effective Teacher which has aided her in orchestrating enrichment and interventions for both primary and intermediate grade levels. "As Executive Director of Bates Accelerated Learning Academy my primary responsibility is to create a community of learners and effective teachers ensuring that our standards are being upheld in accordance with our mission". Mrs. Bates encourages all segments of the school to actively participate in the educational tasks and management of the school throughout the year.
Assistant Principal of Curriculum
The Assistant Principal of Curriculum monitors course implementation and best practices that aid in the execution of the school’s curriculum goals. These responsibilities include planning, organization and lead staff development in coordination curriculum teams, and special education coordinator. As Assistant Principal of Curriculum, she teaches occasional classes to role model best literacy practices. The Assistant Principal of Curriculum is responsible for gathering student weekly performance data from team leads and ensuring that intervention and enrichment is taking place effectively.
Assistant Principal of Operations
Our Assistant Principal of Operations manages the oversight of student discipline as well as providing direction and an environment that enable students to acquire learning skills needed to make sufficient choices presently and in the future. As Assistant Principal of Operations, she helps manage assigned academic, guidance, pupil services, student activities and addresses issues that arise during the absence of the principal. She serves as an active member of the management team and articulates a clear philosophy and shared vision of learning.
Guidance Councilor
At Bates Accelerated Learning Academy we are passionate about allowing our students to voice concerns without fear of punishment or judgment. B.A.L.A.'s guidance counselor's get to know the students and their unique needs to offer specialized solutions, as well as aid students in developing a plan for their academic career that corresponds with their skills and interests. Cultivating a healthy guide of communication between parents, students, and staff is of upmost importance to establish a solid foundation of trust.
